The Integrated Management of the Yallahs and Hope River Watershed Management Areas project, National Environment and Planning Agency is hosting a Special Tree Planting Exercise and Community Exposition. The event will be held at the Content Gap Primary School Wednesday 02 November 2016 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 12 noon.

The special tree planting day is part of the project’s ‘Trees for Life: Trees of Love’ campaign which encourages Jamaicans to plant a tree for someone they love and as an investment in the future. The day’s activities will include:

  1. Planting some 200 fruit trees on the grounds of the Content Gap Primary School
  2. Signing of partnership agreements with project partners
  3. Bird watching activities for students
  4. Social services being provided to the community through the Registrar General Department, PATH and other government agencies
  5. Mini farmers’ market
