Omni Turkey Trot 5K 1 Mile Kids Fun Run -Not Chip Timed is happening on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at 08:45AM EST at 102 Racquet Park Drive with tickets starting at $20.00 <div><p><strong>Omni Turkey Trot</strong><br>Thursday, November 24, 2022 - 8:00 a.m.<br><strong>Location:</strong> Omni Amelia Island Resort<br> 102 Racquet Park Drive<br> Amelia Island, FL 32034 </p> <p><strong>RACE:<br></strong>This time chipped race will start and finish at Omni Amelia Island Resort Racquet Park, located next to the Verandah restaurant. Enjoy a scenic run, meandering through the beautiful, tree-canopied resort. </p> <p>Running or walking is acceptable. No animals and bicycles on course</p> <p>A portion of the proceeds will benefit the First Coast YMCA. For additional information, contact (904) 277-5195 orpriscilla.dickens@omnihotels.com </p> <p><strong>DAY OF REGISTRATION & PACKET PICK UP</strong><br>Pre-registered participants can pick-up race packet on Nov. 23rd, 1 pm-6 pm at the Racquet Park conference room.</p> <p><strong>DAY OF REGISTRATION & PACKET PICK UP</strong><br>Packet pickup will take place on race day at race site from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.</p> <p><strong>DAY OF EVENT SCHEDULE</strong><br>6:30 a.m. – Registration Opens<br>8:00 a.m. – 5K Race Start<br>8:45 a.m. - Fun Run - no chip timing<br>9:00 a.m. – Awards Ceremony </p> <p><strong>AWARDS</strong><br>Race charms for top overall male and female, and top 3 male and female age groups will receive awards. Age groups include 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+</p> <p><strong>PARKING</strong><br>Parking is plentiful next to the race start location. The race starts and ends at the same location. </p> <p><strong>TIMING & SCORING</strong><br>Race will be timed and scored with a disposable chip provided, which will be attached to the back of the bib.</p> <p><strong>FAQ</strong></p> <p><strong>How long is the course?</strong><br>The 5K is 3.1 miles.</p> <p><strong>How will I be timed?</strong> <br>The race uses an electronic timing system that records race time and place via a transponder chip that will be given out at registration. Each individual competing in the 5K is required to use the race chip. Official times will not be recorded without a chip. There will be a clock at the finish line to view your time.</p> <p><strong>When and where do I pick up my registration materials?</strong><br>Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. for all participants</p> <p><strong>How will I receive my results?</strong><br>Official results are posted for the top runners in each category, race staff has all results for on-site inquiries and results are posted on the race website.</p> <p><strong>Can I use my own race chip or tag rather than utilizing the one that is provided?</strong><br>No, you will be provided with a custom chip.</p> <p><strong>What if I need help along the way?</strong><br>Qualified emergency medical professionals are available to provide assistance at the start/finish lines.</p> <p><strong>Can I participate in the event with my dog?</strong><br>Sorry, as much as we love our pets too, the safety of participants is our main concern. Therefore, we do not allow pets on the course.</p> <p><strong>Can I participate with a stroller?</strong><br>Yes, nurturing future generations of runners is a priority and demonstrating healthy lifestyles to our kids is special. Please, however, start in the later part of the runners.</p> <p><strong>Should I bring my own water?</strong><br>Yes, but there will be a water station on the course as well at the finish.</p> <p><strong>Can I get my money returned?</strong><br>We appreciate your race registration. We are unable to issue refunds. We are not in a position to credit your credit card or issue checks.</p> <p><strong>Will the race be held if it's raining?</strong><br>The race is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.</p> <p><strong>What will be provided after the race?</strong><br>An awards ceremony will take place after the race at at the start/finish location.</p> <p><strong>Can I transfer my entry to someone else?</strong><br>Yes, please email priscilla.dickens@omnihotels.com</p> </div>
